Veneers Placement Process
Preparations are necessary before the veneers are placed by our team. For porcelain veneers, the process begins with the removal of a small section of the enamel from the front and the sides of teeth. This is usually done to create room for the placement of veneers.
What then follows is a digital, 3D scan of the teeth.. The scan is then sent to our dental lab for custom-making of the veneers. An appropriate shade is selected and the veneers fit with precision over the teeth for optimum performance and esthetics.
The veneers are installed during your next visit to our office. We may need to double-check the shape and fit. If adjustments are needed, they will be done before bonding. For composite resin veneers, the process is similar. However, in this case, we use a composite material that is hardened using a special kind of light. We finish by smoothening and polishing the veneers to give them a natural look.
