Dr. Kristina Mackie

Dr. Mackie says that nothing is more fulfilling than guiding a patient from a state of disease and despair to one of wellness and hope. She says that her work nourishes her and comes from her innate desire to serve others, and she believes that dentistry allows her to apply her skills in the most impactful way possible on a daily basis. A dental veteran with over 15 years of experience who has served Corinth for more than a decade, she looks forward to welcoming you through our doors and showing you what is possible for your smile.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Mackie first discovered her love of dentistry at the young age of 12, and she began pursuing this passion by attending Med High, a health professionals magnet high school in Mercedes, TX. She says that her interest and fascination with the field has only grown as she has learned more about it!

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Mackie began her collegiate studies at the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA), and in her sophomore year, she gained acceptance into the Dental Early Admission Program affiliated with the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA). She graduated cum laude from UTSA with a B.S. in Biology and ultimately obtained her DDS in 2006 from UTHSCSA, receiving recognition for clinical excellence. Since completing school, she has earned certifications in both clear aligner orthodontics and snoring/sleep apnea treatment.

Today, Dr. Mackie is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry,  member of the  AAFE (American Academy of Facial Esthetics), and regularly participates in the DFW Study Club, an affiliate of the prestigious Seattle Study Club. The DFW Study Club allows her to meet with colleagues, including specialists, in a peer-based forum to discuss a variety of topics including interdisciplinary treatment planning and advances in technology. All of these memberships ensure she obtains well over the state-required number of continuing education hours each year to best serve her patients.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Mackie and her husband, Tom, have three daughters who keep them very busy thanks to cross country, soccer, and dance. In her free time, she likes to paint and draw, and she has enjoyed going saltwater fishing since she was a child when she used to visit Laguna Madre with her grandfather.
